Samantha Miller

A Dallas-based director from Tyler, Tx. Samantha is currently working as Associate Theatre Director at Wylie East High School. Samantha is a director passionate about communicating untold stories in new and unique ways. Theatre is an art form in which we have the power to present stories that provoke change, expose uncomfortable issues, and overcome barriers in a way that all people can understand. I desire to use theatre to entertain, expose, enact change, educate, and advocate for voices that cannot advocate for themselves. As I think about the art that I strive to create, I remember this quote from Anne Bogart, “I want to use theatre to question the limits and boundaries of human experience.” This is what I strive to keep at the center of my work. I want achieve art that wrestles with the human experience in such a tangible way that the audience would have to respond to the truth revealed to them.
