In Samantha Miller's Undergraduate Honors Thesis she used her personal, lived experience as a director of Eleemosynary by Lee Blessing to analyze the relationship between subtext and text through the application of Frantic Assembly’s devising theatre techniques. Frantic Assembly's core theory that there is a different universe before the touch, during the touch, and after the touch was the foundation of her directorial process. This concept helped her explore her vision that the moments we experience, the words that we say, and the way we choose to respond all play an important part in who we become and how our relationships with one another develop.
